What are we doing?

Following the election in May, the Council needs to produce a new Corporate and Strategic Equality Plan to help the residents of Powys achieve their well-being goals. To achieve our vision, we have set the objectives below that are the core aims of the plan:

  • We will improve people’s awareness of services, and how to access them, so that they can make informed choices.
  • We will provide good quality, sustainable employment, and training opportunities, whilst pursuing real living wage employer accreditation.
  • We will work to tackle poverty and inequality to support the well-being of the people of Powys.

Why are we doing it?

The overall aim is to use the feedback received to determine how well the new objectives have been received by the people of Powys and what may need to be changed so that we can ensure that there is a Corporate Plan that delivers for the people of Powys.

PART 1 - Demographic questions: Asks introductory questions to get a sense of who/where the respondent is (to ensure we receive responses from as many people of Powys as possible).

PART 2 - Corporate Plan Objective questions: Asks respondents to give their feedback on the new objectives, if they think it will positively impact the people of Powys and who they think we should be working with to achieve the objectives.

PART 3 – Closing questions: Asks for any further comments.
