What can Localities spend project funds on? / Ar beth y gall Ardaloedd wario arian prosiect?

The Localities Initiative seeks to marry up local ideas and priorities with a £260,000 injection of funds across the 13 Locality Network areas. This funding will enable communities to prioritise initial investment in projects that build local capacity, unlock future development potential and address barriers to participation. What that means in practice might be:

    •  business plans & feasibility studies,
    •  short pilots to test a concept,
    •  setting up new collaborative development structures / social enterprises to deliver local health and well-being services
    •  maximising the potential of digital technology within communities and community buildings
    •  establishing new volunteering opportunities
    •  developing plans and activities aimed at transition to a low carbon economy (community growing, woodlands, recycling, transport).

By matching home-grown ideas for meeting local needs to seed-corn funding, by investigating new approaches and by building capacity for future development - the Localities Initiative provides an excellent opportunity to kick-start the process of recovery and build community resilience to future challenges, wherever we live in Powys.

Diben y Fenter Ardaloedd yw paru syniadau a blaenoriaethau lleol gyda chyllid gwerth £260,000 ar draws y 13 Rhwydwaith Ardal. Bydd y cyllid yn galluogi cymunedau i flaenoriaethu buddsoddiad cychwynnol mewn prosiectau sy’n meithrin capasiti lleol, datgloi potensial ar gyfer datblygiadau’r dyfodol, a mynd i’r afael â rhwystrau o ran cyfranogiad. Ar lefel ymarferol gall hyn olygu:

    • cynlluniau busnes ac astudiaethau dichonoldeb,
    • cynlluniau peilot byr i brofi cysyniad,
    • sefydlu strwythurau datblygu cydweithredol newydd / mentrau cymdeithasol i gyflenwi gwasanaethau iechyd a llesiant lleol
    • manteisio i’r eithaf ar botensial technoleg ddigidol cymunedau ac adeiladau cymunedol
    • sefydlu cyfleoedd gwirfoddoli newydd
    • datblygu cynlluniau a gweithgareddau gyda’r nod o bontio at economi carbon isel (tyfu cymunedol, coetiroedd, ailgylchu, trafnidiaeth).

Trwy baru syniadau i ddiwallu anghenion lleol â chyllid cychwynnol, trwy ymchwilio i ddulliau gwaith newydd a thrwy feithrin capasiti ar gyfer datblygiadau’r dyfodol, mae’r Fenter Ardaloedd yn cynnig cyfle gwych i gicdanio’r broses o adfer a meithrin gwydnwch cymunedau o ran heriau’r dyfodol, ble bynnag rydym yn byw ym Mhowys.
