Are you interested in joining the Powys Journeying Together Group to share your experiences of living with or caring for someone with cancer?
The ‘Journeying Together’ patient and carer group is an opportunity for people to talk to others, share experiences and get peer support. The purpose of the group is to:
meet other people living with, or affected by, cancer
share cancer experiences
help identify improvements needed for cancer support and services
get people’s views to help guide programme developments
help promote cancer information and support available in Powys
When we refer to ‘people affected by cancer’ this could be someone who is:
newly diagnosed with cancer
undergoing cancer treatment
recovering from cancer treatment
living with a treatable but not curable cancer
coming to terms with life after cancer
living with a palliative cancer diagnosis
bereaved following the death of someone with cancer
a family member/friend/unpaid carer supporting someone who has cancer
