Thank you for participating in this online consultation about our updated Home to School Transport Policy which will be implemented from September 2025. Your input is essential for ensuring we continue to provide safe and reliable transport for our students.
The updates to the policy aim to provide greater clarity for those wishing to access Home to School Transport. The changes do not alter the application of the policy but simply aim to reduce any ambiguity in the wording. We have also updated some of the terminology in the policy e.g. Special Educational Needs (SEN) being altered to Additional Learning Needs (ALN).
Updates to the policy are designed to align with the school admissions policy and the new online 2025-26 catchment maps which are available to viewhere.
We have included a supplementary question relating to alterations in Welsh medium secondary school provision for pupils transitioning into Year 7. Although this will not come into effect until 2026 at Ysgol Bro Caereinion, and September 2029 for Ysgol Bro Hyddgen, we would like to collect your views in advance to ensure any alterations required in the policy for 2026 are considered now.
This short consultation consists of a series of questions to gather your feedback on the updates. Your responses will help us identify areas for improvement and develop a policy which has more clarity. This consultation will close on 12 September 2024.
We appreciate your time and look forward to your valuable feedback.
