We’re making improvements to our volunteer programme and, as a valued volunteer, we’d really like to know what you think.

Our aim is to create a volunteer programme that provides everyone with consistent opportunities and information, is clear around what we’re all doing and provides a greater sense of ‘team’.

Embedding opportunities for greater connection and communication across the county is something we’re working on, with smaller areas such as the quarterly newsletter starting over recent months.

Beyond this, to enable a positive and well supported environment for all volunteers, we’re looking at how best to achieve something that works for the longer term and captures thoughts/opinions from all our volunteers.

We’re asking our existing volunteers to be open and honest around where we are at the moment, so that we can plan improvements for a better future.

It doesn’t matter whether you’ve been with us for years or have just begun your journey. With increasing numbers and new volunteers joining all of the time, we’d like to know how you feel about volunteering with us and to gather your thoughts around how things could be better for everyone.

Over the next few months we’ll be reviewing your feedback, speaking with others and implementing changes to the programme from April 2025.

The volunteer contribution is immense, and incredibly important in maintaining the public rights of way network across Powys, while providing different levels of activity to make it accessible for all. We see this very much as a team effort so thank you all, for everything you do.

How to share your thoughts

Send us your views via our online survey. It should take no more than 10 minutes and your comments can be made anonymously, if you wish.
