Individuals and teams – we’ve got categories for both!
Your achievements in work as well as in the community
Who can nominate?
Powys County Councillors, employees (regardless of what level or grade you are), managers, and schools
Please be aware you are not allowed to nominate a member of your family, partner or personal friend
Nominating is as easy as 1-2-3!
Read through the categories and choose the most appropriate: Staff Award Categories
Put your entry together, focussing on quality not quantity! Judges will base their decisions on the information and evidence you provide. So read the judging criteria carefully and provide the judges with information that will give your nominee the best chance of succeeding.
Submit your nomination online!
Study the form
The judging criteria for each award is unique, so do take time to read these carefully before you submit. This should help guide you to the type of information the judges will be looking for. As well as making sure you have chosen the most appropriate category for your nominee.
Use examples
Where possible, use examples to back-up your statements/reasons. Include evaluation, impact and measurable examples where appropriate. Good quality examples could make your entry really stand out from the crowd.
Be clear
Within your entry, clearly explain the reasons why you think your nominee deserves to receive an award and give examples and/or evidence where possible.
Assume nothing
Although judges are drawn from a wide variety of services, don’t assume they will have prior knowledge of your service or project. So to provide them with the best context, assume no prior knowledge and provide background information where necessary.
Exceptional, exceptional, exceptional!
We all strive to do our jobs well. But the staff awards aim to recognise those who have done something exceptional. Make sure you outline what your nominee is doing that is above and beyond what would normally be expected of them.
