Consultation has concluded
PAVO has been asked to look at the function of the current Older People's Forum, its membership and how we can ensure that the older citizens of Powys can have their voices heard. It is intended that the Older People's Forum will feed into the Age Well Partnership Board of the Regional Partnership Board (RPB) in the future.
We are engaging with citizens across Powys and would welcome your thoughts, suggestions and ideas.
Participation is an integral part of creating an age-friendly Wales, so the discussions of the Older People’s Forum could include:
Supporting older people to re-engage with their communities after covid.
Ensuring that the voices of older people in Powys are heard to create an Age-Friendly Wales.
Applying to join the World Health Organisation’s Network of Age-Friendly Cities and Communities.
Responding as a collective voice to local, national and third sector consultations.
Running focus groups with older people with a protected characteristic or who do not wish to engage with formal groups or structures.
Raising concerns about access to services for older people
Andrew Davies will be looking to involve people 60+ to find out their views on the aims of the Older People’s Forum going forward and to recruit new members who wish to be part of the forum.
