Introduction

The first public consultation was held in June 2021, after which a plan to improve Brecon town centre for local residents, businesses and visitors was developed.

Another consultation was held in August/September 2022 to get the public’s views on a range of topics. The feedback received showed that there is strong support for the traffic restriction measures put in place during the Covid pandemic to be made permanent, and widespread agreement that the proposed improvements will add to the town centre’s character and culture, making it more enjoyable for residents and visitors.

Powys County Council have developed the original ideas further for the town centre and would like to hear your views on the detailed proposals being presented:
